Ingredients
- 200 g Japanese rice
- 240 ml water
- 2–3 tsp furikake of your choice: UMAMI Furikake, Yuzu Furikake, Ume Furikake or Tamago Furikake
- Alternatively: UMAMI Gomasio
Method
- 01
Wash the rice until the water runs almost clear and leave to drain for 20 minutes.
- 02
Cook it, covered, in the water: 12 minutes on the lowest heat once it boils, then 10 minutes’ resting off the heat.
- 03
Fluff it up with a spatula and divide between bowls.
- 04
Sprinkle over the furikake just before serving so it stays crisp. Yuzu Furikake is citrusy, Ume tangy, Tamago sweet and rounded.
