This is a translation. In case of discrepancy, the Italian version prevails.
This notice explains which personal data are processed when you visit the website www.umamifood.it and when you write to us, pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and D.Lgs. 196/2003. It describes only what the website actually does.
1. Controller
Family Foods Srl, registered office at Via Montegrappa 7/1, 17019 Varazze (SV), VAT number and tax code 01683800096, REA SV-168417.
- Email for privacy requests: info@umamifood.it
- PEC: familyfoodssrl@pec.it
- Telephone: 019 7701186
2. The website in brief
The website presents UMAMI products and is purely informative: it does not sell directly, does not require registration and has no restricted areas. It does not use cookies, statistics tools (analytics), pixels or advertising trackers, and does not embed third-party content such as videos, maps or social networks. Fonts and images are hosted on our server.
3. What data we process
Technical browsing data. When you visit the website, the web server automatically records in its log files: IP address, date and time of the request, page or file requested, response code, response size, referring page (referrer) and browser and operating system type (user agent). These data are necessary for the operation of the service and we do not use them to identify or profile you.
Data you send us by email. The Contact page contains a form that does not transmit any data to the website: when you press “Send”, the form prepares a message in your email program (a “mailto” link), addressed to info@umamifood.it, with the information you have entered (selected profile, name, email address, company if any, message). The message is sent only if you decide to send it from your email program; the website does not store or receive anything. From that moment we receive an ordinary email, just as when you write to us directly at the published addresses.
We do not process any other data: no accounts, newsletters, payments or browsing data collected through cookies or similar technologies.
4. Purposes and legal bases
- Operation and security of the website (server logs): delivering the pages, preventing abuse and attacks, detecting and correcting errors. Legal basis: the controller’s legitimate interest in a secure and functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Responding to your requests (email): providing information about the products, handling requests from professionals, resellers and companies. Legal basis: taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and legitimate interest in responding to those who contact us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Legal obligations and protection of rights: where data must be retained to comply with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
We do not use your data for marketing, newsletters or profiling.
5. How long we keep the data
- Server logs: they are rotated every day and kept for a maximum of about 15 days (the current day’s file plus the 14 previous ones, compressed), after which they are deleted automatically. They may be kept longer only if necessary to investigate a security incident or an unlawful act.
- Emails: for the time necessary to handle your request and any relationship arising from it; afterwards, only if and for as long as required by legal obligations (for example commercial and tax records) or for the protection of the controller’s rights.
6. Who processes the data on our behalf
- Aruba S.p.A., the provider of the server (hosting) on which the website is published, which processes the technical browsing data as a processor.
- The provider of our email service (Google Workspace), which processes the emails received as a processor.
- Authorised persons of Family Foods Srl and, where necessary, consultants bound by confidentiality; public authorities, only where provided for by law.
We do not sell your data or pass it on to third parties.
7. Transfers outside the European Union
The website and its logs are located on servers in Italy. Emails may also be processed by the email provider outside the European Union, always with the safeguards provided for in Articles 44 et seq. GDPR (for example adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses).
8. Links to Amazon and other websites
Product pages may contain the “Buy on Amazon” button, which opens the product page on the Amazon store for the language you are browsing in (amazon.it, amazon.de, amazon.fr, amazon.es or amazon.co.uk). Our website does not transmit any data to Amazon: no information is passed on until you click the link. After the click you are on a third-party website, which processes data according to its own privacy notice and its own cookies; any purchases are concluded on Amazon, under the terms of the platform and of the seller indicated.
9. Your rights
You may at any time request access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and, where applicable, data portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest (Articles 15–22 GDPR). To exercise your rights, write to info@umamifood.it or to the PEC address familyfoodssrl@pec.it: we will reply within the time limits set by law.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the supervisory authority of the European Union country in which you live or work.
10. Other information
- Providing the technical data is necessary to browse the website. Writing to us is optional, but without an email address we cannot reply to you.
- We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling.
- We may update this notice if the website changes: the date of the latest version is shown on this page. If in the future we introduce tools that require consent (for example statistics or non-technical cookies), we will ask for it before activating them.
