WELCOME TO UMAMI

Our Japanese proposal

From the ‘union of a Japanese and an Italian family, Umami was born. We manufacture our own products, search for quality raw materials to offer our customers, and import everything we need directly from Japan. Our goal: to offer quality products.

Our research is based on small and medium-sized producers and artisans who have been doing the craft for years, this is because we believe that the true flavor of Japanese tradition is just hidden there. We want to bring the “craft” product and make it known. Offering quality products at affordable prices is our commitment.

These quality raw materials allow us to produce our products without the need for flavor enhancers, preservatives, dyes or other adjuvants; we need only follow our recipe, and all the rest is done by quality.

Our plan is to get to produce different raw materials here in Italy following traditional recipes and using top quality raw materials.

MADE IN JAPAN

Our raw materials are imported from Japan, sourced from families of small and medium-sized artisans who have been producing for generations

WE PRODUCE WITH JAPANESE RECIPE

With the raw materials we import we also make our own products, such as sauces, sushi vinegar, and more

MADE IN ITALY

We buy quality local products, such as rice, which is made from Japanese seed and, being fresh, is as good as that grown in Japan.
